Ann Arbor resident and founder of QuranClub, Ikram Kurdi, writes of a new discovery in the Ararat mountains of Turkey today on his blog.
Pieces of a large ship, dated to be about 4800 years old, were discovered there recently according to AlJazeera.net and other news sources. Could this old ship be the famous ark of Prophet Noah? They say 'yes'.
Certainly and understandably some readers are blown away by this announcement, others are not yet convinced of it's validity, and another set of others are shocked that Muslims even believe in the prophet-hood of Noah (Yup, we believe in Moses, Adam, Abraham, and Jesus too!)
So what does this mean for us if the ship is in factNoah's Ark? Not much. It's just really, really cool to think about!
Take a look at the video of explorers shooting footage of what they claim to be the remains of Noah's Ark. What are your thoughts on it?
