'American Muslim Experience' podcast features former UM professor

There's a fresh new podcast in web-town, geared toward both Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Diffused Congruence: The American Muslim Experience is an endeavor launched by two friends, Zaki Hasan and Parvez Ahmed, on podbean in late 2014. The podcast features "unique and interesting personalities" discussing any number of things as is related to their lives and experiences.
In episode 21 Diffused Congruence hosts Dr. Sherman Abdul Hakim Jackson, the former, and much lauded, University of Michigan Islamic Law professor.
Summary of Dr. Jackson's podcast from website:
This month we're honored to be joined by Dr. Sherman Jackson, professor of Religion and American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California, for our lengthiest conversation yet as he shares his personal story, going deep and wide into the amazing journey he's been on throughout his life.
Among other things Dr. Jackson tells listeners of his strict upbringing in urban Philadelphia and subsequent journey to Islam as a twenty-something. Jackson asserts he knew young men more intelligent than he, selling drugs in the ghetto, and credits his father for making him stay in school and ultimately graduate from an ivy league college.
The monthly podcast promises to continue highlighting and focusing on intriguing stories from within the Muslim community for listeners. Find out more on their Facebook page or email with questions to diffusedcongruence@gmail.com.
