Continuing on the event train trending this Examiner weekend, here's another great opportunity for Muslims and non-Muslims to partake.
It is:  American Daughters: Reflections on Being Muslim in America
Thursday, April 22nd
7-8:30pm

This event features speakers who will discuss being Muslim in America from a local perspective. Our panelists will include:
Heather Laird-Jackson, MPA
Bayyinah Muhammad, ME
Stephanie Flower, ME
Mona Youseff, JD
Shirin Khan, MA & JD
How do Muslims deal with the challenges of multiculturalism? What are the barriers that exist in tackling this issue both within the Muslim community and within the broader community? In light of recent events, how does this affect the adults as well as the youth in our community? Our speakers will aim to answer these questions and more. Discussion will follow.
Co-sponsored by the U of M Muslim Students’ Association and Ann Arbor District Library. Contact GraceK@icpj.net or call (734) 663-1870 for more information.
We hope to see you there!
