Michigan Islamic Academy scholars take top honors for high school

Ann Arbor's Michigan Islamic Academy, a private school which serves students PK to 12th grade, will hold its 2015 graduation ceremonies on June 18, 6 p.m. Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College. The class includes 12 graduates. Below are the names and bios of the two "Top Scholars" with some of the highest accolades a high school student can obtain.
Kamal Dajani
Parents: Runa Nuseibeh and Jamal Dajani
Activities and Awards: Kamal was very active as a member in National Honors Society (NHS), Environmental Club, Anti-bullying Club, and Model United Nations (MUN). He volunteered in Arbor Lane Pharmacy, and Islamic Center of Detroit summer school.
Plans After Graduation: Kamal will be attending Wayne State University, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, majoring in Biological Sciences (B.S.), planning to pursue a medical degree later on. (M.D.)
Eglal Samir
Parents: Nagla Mustafa and Hazem Samir
Activities and Awards: Eglal was awarded with a High Honor Roll, Principal's List, 2nd and 1st place in Quran Competition,3rd place in Physics Olympiad at UM , and certificate for teaching the Quran. Her extra-curricular activities include attending the MUN Conference, participating in the Health Club, Environmental Club, and the National Honors Society.
Plans After Graduation: Eglal plans to attend Wayne State University.
Michigan Islamic Academy is located on Plymouth Road in the city of Ann Arbor.
