This economy is hurting everyone, especially Michigan's automobile industry. But that isn't to say that there aren't any job opportunities for those in the Metro Detroit area.
Recently, the MCA Islamic Center of Ann Arbor, the mother organization to the Michigan Islamic Academy, has shared a few open positions to the Islamic public. All interested applicants should have some experience and be knowledgeable of the Quran and sunnah.

-MCA is looking for a youth co-ordinator to assist with the co-ordination of youth activities for the community.
This is a part time paid position for the summer months (June / July) and may continue in the future.
1- Coordinate between various youth groups
2- Working with various youth groups, develop a calander of activities for youths, including social, educational & recreational activties
3- Reserve fields and gyms for recreation
4- Solicit topics of interest from youth group
5- Working with youth and MCA Imam, Education committee select and invite speakers for educational lectures
6- Arrange social activities like dinners & camps.
7- Supervise and assist with the organization of these activities
8- Assist with the advertisment and publication of those activties.
9- Promote participation of youth for the activties
10- Stay in close touch with the educational chair and be accesible through emails and phones.

Benefits:
This is an hourly paid position expected to required 10 to 15 hours a week.
Compensentation is in line with other paid positions at MCA.
