Imam Siraj Wahhaj, director of the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA), is gracing Ann Arbor Muslims with his presence this Friday!
Imam Siraj has achieved nationwide acknowledgement and reverence from Muslims and non-Muslims alike. The loved Imam was recently diagnosed with cancer; though you would not know it from his optimistic attitude and infectious charisma.
During any given number of his lectures, even the ones where raising funds is the goal, his audience always has a good laugh. Imam Siraj is knowledgeable and knows how to apply Islamic principles to the current day and age in which we are living.
To be frank, he's kind of a big deal. MashaAllah.
In a recent MANA newsletter he thanked the Muslims for their prayers and the donations for his treatment, additionally mentioning that his health had improved. Alhamdulillah.
This Friday, March 12, 2010, the imam will lead Jumah Prayer at the Islamic Center of Ann Arbor (MCA). Later in the day, there will be a dinner and fundraising lecture after Maghrib Prayer. The meal is free, but be ready to donate to a good cause if you plan on attending.
The Ann Arbor Masjid is located at 2301 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor 48105. We'll see you there!
