In the past, seekers of knowledge would have to trek across deserts and seas to gain access to Islamic teachings. Now, well for starters, young Muslims can simply type f-a-c-e-b-o-o-k in their Chrome browser to get reliable Islamic information.
One of the newest elements of the Islamic Facebook experience is the Being Muslim class. The class was established by UM-Ann Arbor graduates who were known for their religiosity and awesomeness on campus.
According to the blurb on the facebook fan page, the Being Muslim class "is a free class that will cover the essential aspects of Islam from the most basic level. Whether just curious about Islam, newly practicing, or a lifelong Muslim who would like a refresher – all are welcome to attend."
Classes are held locally in the home of The Tarsin family, and broadcasted live, every two weeks. To date there has only been two classes -- which means there's still time for the reader to jump on this band wagon!
